What is the "METAVERSE", the new moot point for the world?

The Metaverse means different things to different people, but it’s also because the lines between the virtual world and reality have become blurred beyond recognition.

"On 28th October 2021 Facebook brought plenty of hype and headlines by proclaiming that it's changing its corporate name to Meta. It is a part of new focus on building Metaverse."

So, what does this new buzz means?

The metaverse is the massive network of never-ending ,online and 3 dimensional virtual universe concentrated on social connection. The concept involves constructing integrated virtual online habitat in which people reside, educate, work and play.

The term metaverse was first coined in 1992 by Neal Stephenson in his sci-fi novel Snow Crash. in the novel it was described as 3D virtual reality space accessed through personal terminals and VR glasses and headsets.

The path to the upcoming future!

Practically, the Metaverse is not fully in existence, but some parts contains Metaverse like properties. We have bits of Metaverse in operation today like, electronic games for instance Fortnite, Minecraft and Roblox considered to be the closest experience of it.

In the future, what will fuel the Metaverse?

Metaverse is considered to be an alternative of our physical world. Technology will play a enormous role in driving the metaverse ,including cloud infrastructure, software tools, platforms, applications, and user-generated content. Besides technical requirements, the metaverse will provide an array of user experiences, including, gaming, entertainment, social interaction, commerce, education, and research. An individual will be able to create their own avatars and will be able to explore real time experience from any part of the world.
